RSES Assessment

Recovery Specialist Employability Score (RSES) Assessment

Jordan Peer Recovery is proud to offer the Recovery Specialist Employability Score (RSES) assessment. The RSES assessment determines a Peer’s suitability for employment based on seven domains that cover each Peer’s knowledge of essential skills, ability to think critically, as well as one’s own recovery strength, to best determine career fit.

The Recovery Specialist Employability Score (RSES) is composed using domains that align with nationally recognized peer recovery workforce competencies as identified by SAMHSA (Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration), NAADAC (National Association for Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Counselors), and IC & RC (International Certification & Reciprocity Consortium).

The RSES focuses on real-life employment competencies and employs an evidenced-based profiling system.

How it works

Individuals complete an online assessment and are given individual scores per category, as well as an average score for the assessment. The average score is referred to as the Recovery Specialist Employability Score (RSES). This score is accompanied by a Professional Development Form (PDF) to address any deficient areas and suggest training materials to strengthen scores in these categories.

The PDF serves as contextual support for the employer and employee. These profiles provide detailed information regarding suitability for employment. Employment profiles include outlook, projected growth, performance standards, education, experience, knowledge, and appropriate skills.
